ABOUT HINCH PLANT HIRE

The company was established in 1968 and operates from a premises in Mountmellick, Co.Laois. The company is managed by Fintan and Trevor Hinch.

The premises at Mountmellick include a workshop for equipment maintenance and repairs, fuel storage, stores and office facilities.


Hinch Plant Hire Ltd is mainly a Plant Hire and Civil contracting Company but also involved in:

• Quarrying
• Road Haulage
• Holders of a Waste Permit Licence
• Site Development
• Road Building
• Car Parks.

The current staff number is seventy five, which include Plant Operators, Truck Drivers
Mechanics, Site Personnel and Administrative support and are holders of the safe pass card and construction skills cards.



We specialise in the hire of:

• excavators (tracked and wheel),
• dump trucks
• dozers
• tipper trucks
• stone crushing equipment.

With our wide range of equipment and specialised machinery, our customers range from Farming, Forestry, Construction, Quarrying, Local Authorities and ESB.

Hinch Plant Hire Ltd acquired a haulage licence in 1997 due to an expansion into the haulage of crushed stone, gravel filling and site materials.

In 2001 the company began to produce its own crushed stone and road making materials.

In 2002 Hinch Plant Hire achieved the Foundation Mark by Excellence Ireland.

In 2006 Hinch Plant Hire achieved the Excellence Through People Award run by FAS.

Our ambitions is to have an excellent run company, maintain size and customer base, reduce waste, comply with all environmental and safety laws and maintain good relations among staff and customers alike.
